TOP 3 FREEWARE FUZZ / MUFF

  1. Distortique Face Bender

MULTI AMP SUITES:

  1. Line 6 Helix Native – The Line 6 Helix Native has a remarkable selection of fuzz pedals and other gear that is able to produce some seriously crushing walls of stoner rock goodness. Line 6 has included a number of boutique fuzz and muff pedals including a Boss Hyper Fuzz FZ-2 which is awesome and something that I really did not see coming.
  2. Amplitube 4 complete – IK included some fantastic options for stoner rock tones. The Orange products included sound pretty good considering it’s a multi amp suite. I recorded a few songs with the Orange plugins and they all turned out great. However, I feel for a good Orange type tone, the free Black Rooster Cypress does a great job for $0.00.

IMPULSES:

Always research the best cabs for the genres you are playing in because it makes impulse buying or selecting a lot easier, especially if you have a boatload of impulses. It just makes navigating your impulses a little easier when you know what you are looking for in advance. Here’s a few options that can be found pretty easily and several companies offer free versions of these cabinets.

For a loader at HASR, we all use Impulsive.

  • Orange 412
  • Celestion open back 412
  • Greenback 412
  • Mesa Oversize/OS 412
  • Zilla 412
  • Eminence 412
  • Framus 412

MODULATION:
